The Supervisor Series
Due to the overwhelming demand for the Supervisor courses, we are now limiting registration to Members who either currently work in a supervisory position, or are in the process of upgrading to a supervisory position. Participants in the Guild Apprentice Program are not eligible to attend.
**This is a two day course - Saturday February 22/Saturday February 29**
**The fee is a DEPOSIT. It will be refunded upon your attendance at the course.**
This course fulfills the mandatory training required for upgrading to a supervisory position.
Day 1: Modules covered include Managing People for First Time Supervisors and Developing Leadership Skills.
Day 2: Modules covered include Enhancing Employee Performance and Communication Skills.
This training is presented in collaboration with Canadianr Professional Management Services.
Instructor: Paul Mulvihill
Paul Mulvihill worked for Canada Post Corporation for thirty plus years, in both Union and management roles, the last twenty years in several different Labour Relations positions. He has worked at the Regional Manager and Director levels with Local, Regional and National responsibilities. Part of these roles included contract interpretation and providing advice and guidance to Senior Level Management. He is an expert in the area of Union Management Relations and has often been relied upon to resolve complex and sometimes longstanding issues between various parties.
Mr. Mulvihill has completed the Advanced Program in Human Resource Management, Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, the Human Resources Program at Queen’s University as well as Advanced Alternate Dispute Resolution from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Paul is also a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association.
