Street Checks Decoded - Downtown 

The Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN) is pleased to offer Street Checks Decoded a FREE professional development opportunity for youth leaders and frontline workers,  that builds knowledge and awareness of the changes to carding practices and legal rights with police under the Street Checks regulation.

What you will learn 

  • Street check regulation and changes to carding practices;

  • Effective communication practices to use during encounters/interactions with police; 

  • Resources available for legal help/support.

Participants will hear from lawyers, police officers and other justice system representatives!

Lunch and training materials are provided during the session. 

REGISTRATION: Registration is required.   If you register for this session and cannot attend please ensure that you find a replacement.
