Getting Started in the CTC Shops (A)
This is a safety and preparedness training that is designed to introduce users to the three Fine Arts, Core Technical Centre shops. It will focus on shop safety and project planning, preparing you for your first project in the shop. It will provide you with the information required to prepare to work safely in the shops and develop an awareness of the hazards present in this type of environment. This session will introduce participants to ways of thinking about fabrication that will make their time in the workshops more productive and rewarding. This training session is mandatory for evryone wanting to work in the CTC shops but it only needs to be taken once.
The Core Technical Centres are facilities in Concordia's EV Building and are available to all Fine Arts students, faculty and researchers.
All "Getting Started in the CTC Shops" sessions will cover the same material, no matter which shop they are taught in.
