POSTPONED – Sound Healing to raise funds for WICWC drum circle
This YouTube video shows how drumming helps cancer patients.
Sweet Sounds for the Soul is a group sound meditation, led by Heather Pengelley, a certified sound healer. It will feature the calming tones of crystal singing bowls, a Tibetan bowl, Koshi chimes, gong, Native American flute, ocean drum, and guided meditations.
The healing properties of sound are based on the physical laws of resonance and entrainment – one brings your body into harmony and balance, while the other evokes a deeply meditative state, calmness and relaxation.
To discover the soothing power of sound – and benefit WICWC's drum circle – reserve your spot by purchasing your ticket now. Space is limited to 30 people.
Tickets: $30 each. Two or more tickets: $25 each. Promo code for ticket discounts: multiples. Due to the limited number of tickets available, ticket sales will continue. Look for publication of a new date as soon as COVID-19 allows!

Join Heather Pengelley at the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre (WICWC) for a special fundraising event, a relaxing and rejuvenating sound meditation with crystal singing bowls, Native American flute, soothing ambient music, gong, Koshi chimes and ocean drum.
Help us to raise funds for a drum circle to benefit the body, mind and spiritual well-being of people with cancer and their caregivers. Because we need to supply the WICWC drum circle with – you guessed it – drums!
Drumming is a time-honoured form of self-expression with serious health benefits, as shown in scientific studies. Tapping out emotions on a drum helps to relieve the stress that cancer patients endure. Drumming neutralizes anxiety and dispels frustration and worry. It creates a sense of community. In the body, it boosts the immune system, cell regrowth, lowers blood pressure, improves circulation, helps with pain relief, and much more.
That's why we need a drum circle at WICWC!
