Scrape - on at Midnight
Raw, intense, aggressive, extremely personal, quite possibly insane, and taboo are words often used to describe Scrape for the uninitiated. Started in 1993 as a creative outlet to expel negative energy, Scrape has grown in both scope as well as sound and production over several released and live performances into a hybrid of industrial and disturbing EBM.
COMPACTOR - on at 11:15pm
An interconnected set of mostly obsolete machinery, manipulated by an anonymous everyman figure known as The Worker. Fragments of Industrial, Noise, Glitch, and others are crushed into soundtracks to the daily grind and the landscape of waste we live and work in.
Moon Sunn Moon - on at 10:30pm
Drawing on influences from industrial noise, apocalyptic folk, black metal and surf rock, MoonSunMoon compels the listener down the dark hallways of the past to emerge in a distant land populated by pagan deities, crumbling cities, goth chicks, and a sense of impending doom. Rhythms of military rigidity drive haunting melodies, sung in an indecipherable baritone, awash in echoes, over a lush bed of acoustic guitars.
The Electric Belfry is new and continuing music series from Batty von Bats, in which carefully selected acts play in a truly intimate environment in the updated side room at Nocturne, dubbed The Red Room.
