safeTALK - Suicide Alertness for Everyone Training for Students, Fellows, and Staff
Do you know what to do for a friend or labmate in crisis?
The Canadian Mental Health Association's safeTALK workshop is a face-to-face training featuring powerful presentations, audiovisuals, and skills practice.
At the safeTALK workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support.
A skilled, supportive trainer will guide you through the course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.
This workshop is for all students, fellows, and staff who want to develop skills in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
