RACE and CLASS
Join us in the Nexus Lounge, located at OISE's 12th floor, as we engage in meaningful discussion about race and class.
The link between capitalism and racism is intimate and complex. Racism is a tool of the current capitalist system to both divide the working class, and also to justify keeping a group in a subordinate position in order to maintain their exploitation. Therefore, any discussions on racism is incomplete without a critique of capitalism.
On February 25th, come join us in dialogue on the theme of “Race and Class” at the Nexus Lounge at OISE. The Nexus Lounge is located on the 12th floor of 252 Bloor Street West (wheelchair accessible, and accessible via St. George subway station).
Food and beverages will be provided. There will be a limited number of Starbucks gift card giveaways.
Safe Space for Race, presented by the UTGSU's Race and Ethnicity Caucus, aims to build community on campus that empowers and supports self-identified racialized students and allies.
Please note that ASL interpretation will be provided upon advanced request to rec[at]utgsu[dot]ca.
