Are there any good places to change in/near the venue? I'm not totally feeling transiting downtown in a Harry Potter dress.

There are washrooms inside and quite a few cafes/restaurants nearby that have washrooms as well. Mount Pleasant Community Centre is maybe eight blocks away and you could definitely change there if needed!

Will there be places to sit and rest inside the buliding? If I remember from when queer prom was held there that there was a great lack in seating with people having to go get food at a nearby restaurant just to sit down. Has this problem been fixed for the Yule ball? I love to come but my poor health means I can't stand and dance for four hours straight so if I can't be sure there will be options to rest I can't see myself making the trip all the way out there.

There will be places to sit! We tried having seating out at this year's Queer Prom and it worked really well; we'll be doing that again for the Winter Ball. :)

Great question! This event is part of our youth program, which serves LGBTQ/2S youth ages 25 and under.
