Pottery Wheel Throwing Level 1
Excellent step-by-step instruction for absolute beginners! Start with the basics of wheel throwing and carry on with learning efficient and traditional techniques for working on the pottery wheel. Create numerous handmade projects that will develop your skills in throwing, trimming and glazing. Fee includes one bag of clay, glazes and firing. Students must bring their own tools.

Pottery Class Tools
To keep everyone safe, all students are to provide and use only their own tools. Professional tool kits are available at Plainsman Clay, student grade pottery tools can be purchased at Michaels or Delta Art Supplies. (A limited number of professional tool kits will be available at time of registration)

Thursdays, September 16-November 4, 7-10pm, $255 (8 classes)
Thursdays, September 16-November 4, 4:30-6:30pm, $160 (8 classes)* Runs in combination with Teen Clay Connection
Fridays, September 17-November 5, 6:30-9:30pm, $255 (8 classes)

We have made some important changes to our classes to protect participants and staff so that they can attend and safely enjoy our creative classes.
Additional safety protocols in place include:
Individual self health assessment (online) for every student and instructor required, prior to attending each class
Increased cleaning of high-touch surfaces
Individual supplies for each student
Hand sanitizer available in class
Gloves available in class
Smaller class sizes and socially distanced work-spaces
Social distancing of 2 metres when moving about the classroom/studio/ gallery
Students required to wear masks during class and to wear a mask when moving about the space
Instructors required to wear a mask or face shield
Please note, there may be an occasion where we are unable to safely offer regular classes consistently due to the unpredictability of COVID-19. This could result in classes being interrupted, canceled, or moved to online, depending on the program.
