Lindbjerg Academy is a performing arts centre that is dedicated to teaching the art of musical theatre, dance, singing and acting. The academy is not only a centre where children learn the skills to perform, but also a place where those skills are applied and enjoyed. The Academy has directed choirs that have performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat both times the professional company came to Vancouver (including the tour starring Donny Osmond). The Academy also puts on their own productions that play at the Inlet Theatre, Terry Fox Theatre, The Act and The Michael J. Fox Theatre. Production titles include such shows as: Oklahoma, Annie, The Wizard of Oz, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Anne of Green Gables, Cinderella, Grease, Hairspray and Beauty and the Beast, to name a few! They also have performed as a group on such shows as Breakfast Television, Urban Rush, The Morning Show and at the PNE, Variety Club Telethon and the James Productions of Christmas Pops. Lindbjerg Academy's Glee Show Choir has performed at many events such as Port Moody's Golden Spike Days, as well as travelling to and performing at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Apart from the Academy, the students keep themselves busy! Several of our students have performed in commercials, made for TV movies, voice overs for cartoons and animated feature films. They are also regularly chosen to do roles in community theatre productions for Royal City Musical Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars and Footlight Theatre Company. Many of our instructors are still performers themselves. They can be seen throughout the year in various productions and shows around the Lower Mainland.
