Metal Fabrication Course
This is an in-depth metal fabrication course that complements our MIG Welding 101 and MetalLab 101 classes. This course takes place once a week over four weeks. 1st Session: March 29th, 2pm to 6pm 2nd Session: April 5th, 2pm to 6pm ** No class April 12th. ** 3rd Session: April 19th, 2pm to 6pm 4th Session: April 26th, 2pm to 6pm
Students will learn both basic and advanced fabrication techniques, and how to work with metal in order to create quality work that is built to last. By the end of the course, students will have made a metal frame for a table that is square, true, and level and is ready for a table top to be added to it.
All materials are covered in the course cost.
About the Instructor
This class is being taught by MakerLabs member Chad Clark. With over 20 years experience in steel trades he got his start early at a family business welding before getting his Red Seal endorsement for steel fabrication. Chad also holds many different welding tickets with the Canadian Welding Bureau. Chad has taught many workshops as well as teaching our MIG 101 classes here at MakerLabs. He believes in learning the proper techniques but also loves teaching and always makes sure the class is a fun time as well as informative!
Duration: 16 Hours, split over four weeks.

Is there an age limit to enter the event? The minimum age for participants is 18 years old.

Can I sign up for the member rate? If you sign up for a membership on the day of the class, you'll receive a refund for the difference between the general and membership class price.
How do I cancel or reschedule my class? Refunds or credit for future classes will only be provided if we are notified by email to
m at least 1 week in advance of the class. No refunds will be provided for late cancellation.
What happens if I show up late? Please arrive 15 minutes before the schedule start of the class so that it can start on time. Attendees arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed in the class.
