Japanese Sake Lecture and Tasting Event on February 19 [LIMITED SEATS]
Ms. Mariko Tajiri, a sake sommelier will talk about a sake tasting and provide tips on how to pair sake with food that is available locally.
We have the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Mariko Tajiri as a lecturer, an international sake educator and promoter working as National Brand Manager for That’s Life in Canada, a wine and sake importer based in Vancouver and Toronto. She has been working with sake for over 13 years with a portfolio including prestigious producers such as Jikon, Sharaku, Kuheiji, Matsumoto, Hououbiden and Tengumai.
Ms. Tajiri became an IWC (International Wine Challenge) sake judge in 2017. She now teaches with WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust), an internationally recognized wine education organization based in London, UK. She also teaches in BC, Alberta and Ontario.
On this occasion, Ms. Tajiri will talk about a sake tasting and provide tips on how to pair sake with food that is available locally. The appropriate pairing can greatly enhance a culinary experience. Following the lecture, the participants will be invited to conduct a sake tasting.
