Introduction to Marquetry: Make your own bookmark or coaster
Come learn basic marquetry techniques by making your own bookmarks or coasters!
Marquetry is a woodworking technique that uses thin sheets of different coloured woods to create pictures and other patterns. This workshop will cover everything you need to know to get started with this exciting and fun technique! Participants will learn how to prepare, assemble, and glue-up their materials. At the end of the workshop we will apply a tung oil finish to give our projects a beautiful appearence. Each participant will go home with either two bookmarks or two coasters. No previous woodworking experience required.
There will be several designs for participants to choose from. If you have a particular design in mind, please contact the instructor before the class. You can reach her at email@example.com
This workshop will be given in English.
