You are invited to a new annual lecture series hosted by the Department of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University.

Title of Lecture: 'No sugar in the promised land': India and the crisis of belonging

Dr. Loomba researches and teaches early modern literature, histories of race and colonialism, postcolonial studies, feminist theory, and contemporary Indian literature and culture. Her recent writings include South Asian Feminisms (2012), Rethinking Feminism in Early Modern Studies: Gender, Race and Sexuality (2016), Revolutionary Desires: Women, Communism, and Feminism in India (2018).

Please note: registration and tickets are required for attendance as seats are limited. Registered guests do not need to print their tickets for attendance.
