The jeans you’re wearing are killing our rivers.
It’s time to make the sustainable manufacturing of clothes fashionable.

Internationally renowned river advocate Mark Angelo journeys through some of the world's most pristine waterways to some of its most polluted, in an unprecedented global adventure that reveals the dark side of the fashion industry. Through harsh chemical manufacturing processes and the irresponsible disposal of toxic chemical waste, our cloth making is destroying rivers.

One major fashion brand alone uses 28 trillion gallons of freshwater a year. Both stunning and shocking, RiverBlue is a beautifully shot, high-definition call to action, to manufacture our clothing in a more sustainable way.

Engage in a panel discussion after the film with:

Filmmakers: David McIlvride, Lisa Mazzotta, Roger Williams
Partner: University of Toronto Student Chapter, Ontario Water Works Assoc.
Panelists: Kelly Drennan (Fashion Takes Action), Kelly Okamura (GooderGoods), Elizabeth Hendricks (WWF-Canada), Roger Williams & Lisa Mazzotta (filmmakers)

More info here: http://www.waterdocs.ca/2017/river-blue

*NOTE: This is a free event, however, please pre-register at the ticket URL and please consider bringing an article of gently-used clothing for donation to a recycled clothing retailer.

Every year NINE BILLION pairs of jeans are made and distributed around the world. The water used in the production of those jeans is full of chemicals and goes largely untreated when it's dumped back into the water supply - the rivers that local people rely on for survival. We are honoured to help put this important issue up on the big screen. Join us tonight for RiverBlue screening and panel discussion: http://riverblue.brownpapertickets.com/
