Fair Isle Hat Knitting - February 2020

Difficulty level: Intermediate knitting knowledge required - must be comfortable with casting on, knitting and purling
Date: Wednesdays, February 19 and 26, 7-9:30pm (two class days)

Course fee: $61 (includes yarn)
In this course, you will learn how to knit with two colours of yarn in the same row, learn how to follow a chart and how to manage yarn tension. We will discuss fundamentals of Fair Isle as a particular type of stranded knitting. You will also learn basic increases and decreases.
What to bring (Can be purchased at Good Fibrations prior to class):
- 3.5mm circular needle (16" or 20")
- 3.5mm DPN
- Scissors, tapestry needle and stitch markers

About the Instructor:
Andrea is a Graphic Designer and knitting addict. She grew up in a crafting household, and while she has always spent time drawing and painting, she didn’t attempt knitting until 2008. She has a Bachelor of Design (Honors) from NSCAD, and has put some of the design principles that she has learned to work when designing her own patterns for knitted accessories. She loves sharing her love of knitting with others!
