Enrico Macias **Postponed
A special evening for lovers of Arab-Andalusian music!
Cheikh Raymond was the greatest architect of the revival of Constantine’s Arab-Andalusian music, the maalouf. On June 22, 1961, the musician, admired and respected by all communities, was murdered in the middle of the souk in Constantine and became a symbol of this dark era.
In 2004, Macias dedicated an album to this master, whose daughter he later married and whom he affectionately called “Uncle Raymond”.
On June 6, Enrico, accompanied by his ARABO-ANDALOU orchestra, will pay tribute to his master in a unique concert at The Olympia theater. An evening of intimacy and sharing not to be missed!
