Danny Hooper's Stockyard, Edmonton's first exclusive country music showroom and steakhouse, opened in November 1979 and hosted some of the biggest names in country music before closing in 1986.
Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Ray Price, Faron Young, Ferlin Husky, Johnny Paycheck, Bobby Bare, John Conlee, Tom T. Hall, Gene Watson, Freddy Fender, Claude King, Little Jimmy Dickens, Ed Bruce, and Ian Tyson are just a few of the stars who graced the Stockyard stage.

On Saturday, November 9, 2019 we will be celebrating the Stockyard's 40th Anniversary with an unforgettable evening of lip-smackin' BBQ, classic country music, special guests, line dance demos, doorprizes, and never-told stories of the Stockyard served up by the man himself, Stockyard co-founder Danny Hooper.
This event takes place at the Edmonton Inn & Conference Centre - easy-to-find with acres of FREE PARKING. Also, the hotel will be offering a special discounted room rate of $99 for our guests, perfect for those coming into the city for the International Farm Fair or to do some Christmas shopping.
Doors open at 6 pm. General seating. NO MINORS.
