Set the stage for healthy connections and emotional safety for all members of the family

This presentation will address how to maintain attachment within the parent-child relationship, but also set clear boundaries. Attachment focused parenting sets the stage for healthy connections, emotional safety for all members of the family. This "connect before correct" style of parenting (or relationships of any kind) can withstand conflict and allow for a healthy "reconnect" when there is tension or disruption. When parents can be curious about the meaning behind their child's behaviour, they begin to understand there may be other ways to respond, meeting not only the child’s needs, but also the parent’s needs.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The importance of getting curious about behaviour.
  • How to not let your kids walk all over you, but with love.
  • Not all is lost even in the face of conflict.
