Cognitive assessments and interventions for stroke and acquired brain injury is organized by Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) / Association canadienne des ergotherapeutes (ACE) and will be held from Jun 08 - 09, 2020 at Sandman Signature Ottawa Airport Hotel, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Occupational therapists who wish to improve their skills in conducting formal and informal cognitive assessments for adults and older adults who sustained a stroke or acquired brain injury, as well as improve their ability to formulate occupation-based interventions based on the assessment results.
This two-day highly interactive workshop will allow you to apply your knowledge of cognition to a more systematic approach of formal and informal cognitive assessment for adults and older adults who sustained a stroke or brain injury. From a combination of presentations and group work sessions, you will learn how to use assessment information to construct profiles of cognition for people who sustained a stroke or brain injury. These profiles will be applied to formulate occupation-based interventions aimed towards improving or managing cognition following stroke or acquired brain injury.
