"How good at brush lettering do I need to be in order to take this pointed pen workshop?"
Answer: If you have the basics of brush lettering down, you can take the workshop. We will not be going over how to FORM the letters, so please review forming letters before the workshop. The workshop is going to be focused on having the right ANGLE for writing and on INK CONTROL. Don't worry if you have trouble with brush pen transitions because with pointed pen, it's actually easier haha.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR
Dina is an ambidextrous calligrapher and workshop instructor based in Vancouver, BC.
She has taught over 400 people brush lettering and pointed pen calligraphy through her public and corporate workshops in BC.
In addition, she does on-site calligraphy at brand events, and loves creating special commissioned projects such custom framed quotes and calligraphy greeting cards.
The name “Jennidi Creative” is a combination of Dina’s mom’s name (Jenny) and Dina’s own name. Dina founded Jennidi Creative after her mom was hospitalized in 2018 for depression and psychosis. Together, they started a creative side business selling greeting cards – her mom painted the cards and Dina did the calligraphy on them. Earlier in 2019, Dina transitioned out of her 9-5 office job to pursue her calligraphy business full-time.
A big part of Dina’s creative work is dedicated to raising mental health awareness. She regularly volunteers at local mental health events in Vancouver and donates her calligraphy to fund causes she cares about.
