Build a Tronxy X1 3D Printer! - June 29 to July 3, 2020, ages 13 to 17 (no camp on July 1)
The best way to learn about 3D printing is to build one and the Tronyx X1 3D printer is great value for money and performs very well!
The Tronyx X1 3D printer is built from a kit but it's something that can be challenging to do on your own. In this five day camp participants will build the 3D printer under our instructor's experienced guidance and will have a fun and educational time doing so!
In addition to building the 3D printer, you will learn some 3D design and some mechanical engineering principles.
We have built a number of these 3D printers already for use at Zen Maker Lab and have been very happy with the results. Participants from previous camps we had to build this 3D printer are reporting good results from the printer and a fun time at the camp.
We are limiting this workshop to 12 registrants.
The workshop is open to kids/youth with some maker lab experience or a keen interest to learn. Recommended for ages 12 to 16 although some exceptions may be made based on experience.
This workshop comes included with the the Tronxy X1 printer, a 16 GB SD card, two glass plates, plus we cover shipping and customs (approximately $250 in total for the 3D printer, related supplies and customs/shipping).
