April First Responder to Sexual Assault & Abuse Training
This training, created by the Association of Alberta Assault Services, is beneficial to all students, staff and faculty in the University of Lethbridge community who are interested in increasing their skills and confidence to address issues related to sexual violence.
This two day training will provide participants with education and skill development in the following areas:
- Definitions, myths & laws about the various types of sexual abuse & sexual assault
- Training in immediate & long term impacts of sexual abuse & sexual assault
- Response to disclosures of sexual abuse & sexual assault
- Rethinking and engaging in prevention of sexual violence
The training will go from 9:00am to 5:00pm on April 25th and April 26th, 2019. There is a one hour break for lunch, but lunch is not provided.
