National Administrative Professionals’ Day, also known as Secretaries Day or Admin Day, is observed on the Wednesday of the last full week in April of each year. It is a day to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists and other administrative support professionals. National Administrative Professionals’ Day is often celebrated with gifts to one’s assistant, such as flowers, gift certificates, gift baskets, candy or lunch.

We know - in addition to holding everything and everyone together - you are working hard to plan and promote events for your business, organization, or group. Now you can come together with your planning peers to learn more, get connected, and have some fun discussing 5 important Keys to Event Planning.

Seats are limited to 12 guests per session so be sure to register early! If the session you wish to choose is full add your name to the waiting list and we'll let you know when a seat becomes available.

Monday, April 13 • Purpose+Plan

You will gain confidence as you learn to clarify the purpose of your event, communicate a clear vision, and develop a workable plan to keep the whole team on track.

Tuesday, April 14 • Design+Decor

Whatever your purpose, plan, or budget you will learn to develop cohesive promotional materials, eye catching invitations, and creative onsite decor elements that resonate with your guests.

Wednesday, April 15 • Space+Time

Choosing a great venue helps to create an engaging atmosphere for guests and sets the tone for an effective corporate meeting, special occasion, or a fun community fundraiser. Learn how to choose the best for your event!

Thursday, April 16 • Sound+Light

Seasoned producers, stage managers, and techies will help you manage the music, video, sound, and lights for your event – you will learn to set the stage for a great experience.

Friday, April 17 • Food+Drink

Sharing our inspiration, you'll learn it's easy to entertain a crowd, small or large, with fresh food choices, delish delicacies, or funky and fun dishes and drinks.

Thank you for visiting us!  But the truth is this is YOUR place, YOUR community, and YOUR chance to be inspired, informed, and get connected!  

My vision for Candy Academy began as I saw a growing need for event planning support, relevant resources and encouragement for community and business leaders – small business owners, marketing or communications staff, leaders of community organizations, volunteer teams, office administrators – who were tasked to plan and promote events for their businesses or organizations, or groups.  

They knew face to face events would help them gain more customers, connect effectively with donors, reach out to their community, motivate their staff, or inspire their volunteer teams . . . but they didn’t know exactly how to do it in the most effective, efficient, and affordable way. If that sounds like you, be assured I understand your challenges – in fact I’ve faced many of them myself – and I am ready to come alongside you in the nitty-gritty of your event planning and promotion efforts to help you meet your goals. 

Planning events and promoting events might be a necessary part of your job – but we believe it can also be fun, energizing, and effective!  Together with local experts and passionate partners we offer the workshops, coaching, and resources you need to help you learn to plan and promote your events creatively and effectively.
