2020 Gbeck Future Film Screening
Youth, future, and new films! Gbeck Future Film Festival is a large-scale competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world. The Gbeck competition is designed to discover and support young filmmakers.
In April 2020, from April 10-12, the Gbeck Future Film Festival will present some great films at City Cinema in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The screening of those films in Charlottetown will serve to promote promote the exchange and the development of multicultural in Prince Edward Island.
The films came from China, America, Russia, Canada, Turkey, Iran, Indonesia and other countries, a total of 28 short films, and 1 full-length film. The films are categorized as drama, documentary or animation and they range in length from 3 minutes to 100 minutes. All of films have English subtitles. Some filmmakers of the films will be there to communicate with the audience. Each screening will last about two hours in total and the sessions are themed, with topics such as “World View” or “Childhood”.
In view of the outbreak of the new coronavirus pneumonia, all the box office revenue of this year's screening will be donated to hospitals through Canadian Chinese Association of PEI.
